Grow Your Own Candy Canes

I have been busy making Christmas decorations to give to people that donate to the local food bank. You just might find the tree somewhere in town. Wait and see. Every five dollar donation will get you one. If you donate ten dollars you get to pick two, and so on.

I will be posting all the different decorations, tags and stocking stuffers over the next few weeks so stay tuned.

Did you know you can grow your own Candy Canes? Well now you do. Just plant these in the snow, a few days later you just might find some poking through the snow.

Hello Bobcaygeon!

It’s been a while. I have been neglecting my blog but it’s time to get back to blogging. Get ready for a lot of my latest craft and recipe posts as Christmas is nearing. As you all know I love food, I am going to let you know about some products that I love. None of the brands have compensated me nor do I promote them for any other reason than to let you know I have tried and liked them. So many products do not pass my taste test because I am quite picky. The ones that do, I like to share.

If I post a craft and you would like to make it yourself, drop me a comment or contact me and I will make a tutorial. I might also start doing some videos in the near future. We’ll see.

You can use the category section on the right to pick on posts of interest to you. It’s great to be back. Hope to see you soon. I might just meet you on the street with my camera and ask to take your picture. Bobcaygeon is a wonderful place to live and I love to highlight the wonderful people that live here too.

W & G Landscaping and Construction

I have to post to let everyone know what a wonderful thing W & G Excavating did on Christmas Eve at our local Foodland. They randomly walked up to cashiers and told them they were paying for that customers groceries. They did not make a big show of it either. Just quietly nodding or whispering it to the cashier. Then walked away to pay at another cashiers line.

They were there for a few hours. Many locals had their groceries paid for that day. Not only that, when they left, they left money for a cashier to choose the next person. It restores my faith that there are so many kind people out there in this world.

He said they were celebrating 25 years of service in they area and wanted to pay it forward, as so many people have supported his business over the years. All he asked for, was for the customer to pay it forward to someone else.

The next time you are looking for work to be done please remember these kind folks and give them a call.

You can visit their website here.

9 3/4 Platform (Harry Potter) Necklace

I made this Harry Potter inspired 9 3/4 platform pendant for an HP fan. I added the elephant because J.K. Rowling wrote some of the Harry Potter books in Edinburgh, Scotland at a coffee shop called The Elephant House.

I have decided to add a lobster clasp to all my pendants so each of them can be attached to any chain or cord. That way they can be used on any bracelet, necklace or key chain.

Abe Navarro

I was so sad to hear about the passing of Abe Nevarro. I had the pleasure of getting to know him this past year. He was such a warm and kind person and was the type of person that made you feel like you had known him forever. I had the opportunity to visit his store when it was still called Trease Cannabis Store. It has since changed to Docks. My heartfelt thoughts go to his family and children. He willed be missed by so many.

You can read my post about his store here:
